Hi guys I’ve bought this WiFi adapter to use in a Kali Linux virtual machine. The device I’m using is a MacBook Pro running big sur. The installation disc does not ha e an option for big sur is there any way I can get this activated for use on the virtual machine?

Looks like it is old hardware because it has reached EOL (end of life) Last update was in 2018

So I don't think you'll get new drivers.

See if this works:
make sure that you don't physically connect the card to the computer until Kali is fully booted, connect the card, then go to the devices menu (beside the file menu) >> USB >> Click your device.
In addition, you can try the following when you connect the adapter to the VM:
  • Experiment with connecting the adapter before and after Kali fully loads, and after you log in as root.
  • Experiment with setting the adapter to use USB 2.0 and 3.0 in Kali system settings in Vbox.
  • Make sure you connect the adapter directly to the computer, don't use a hub or an extension.
  • And experiment with connecting the adapter to different USB ports.
Note: I haven't used an Apple product since 1989 and I've never run Kali so the extent of my help is to post articles I find. I'm unable to answer questions because I have no experience.

I went here https://files.alfa.com.tw/?dir=[1] WiFi USB adapter/AWUS036NHA/QIG
and dowloaded the UserGuide (UG).
It says the device supports: Windows 2000, XP, Vista and 7.
There is no mention of iOS.
