Integrated Camera Not Working

Hello!

I just enrolled in college and had my first exam Sunday, which was proctored and recorded using my built in web cam. I could not get it to work. My professor has graciously extended the deadline for the exam for me until tonight at 11:59pm, and I am in DESPERATE need of help to get this working. I have troubleshooted the problem with the proctoring website, as well as with Lenovo tech support. They transferred me to their software department who wanted $69 to troubleshoot the software to find the issue since I am out of warranty. I really do not have the extra $69 right now and just want to be able to take this exam before midnight. If anyone could possibly help me figure out the problem I would be forever grateful! According to your log, you have THIS Lenovo IdeaPad S340-15IWL Type 81N8 Model 00H3US Laptop
It was purchased in September 2019 and came with Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

Its built-in camera/webcam appears to be a Realtek SunPlus model.
THIS is the driver software for it at that laptop's support site which was released in December 2019.
Download and save and then install it, then see if it helps with your issue.

If it doesn't, the only thing that I can recommend is to purchase and install an external USB webcam.
There are several brands, but a Logitech model is what I recommend.

Hello!

Can you confirm what you meant by "not working"?

Can you go to the Camera App and confirm if it works there? To get to the app, simply type Camera in the search bar.

Also what program/browser are you using for this exam?
