I recently bought a brand new Inspire P5800 5.1 surround sound system. It's a great surround sound system with great sound, nice and clear. But of course, nothing can be exactly perfect can it? Despite the nice clear sound from these speakers, i can occasionally hear this high pitched noise, sounds almost like a frequency or as i've heard some other people describe it as the night vision sound from the game Splinter Cell. It happens pretty much at random times and usually goes away, but always seems to reappear later. If i turn the speakers off and then back on i can usually (9 times out of 10) hear this pitch noise for like 3 seconds, as if the system is powering up or something. So far i would have to say the noise appears mostly during gaming, but can still be heard sometimes even if there are no applications running. Also, when i hear the noise i can turn the volume all the way down and i can still hear the noise. Does anybody know what could be causing this noise?
Could it be interference? A driver? Any help or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
