I have 20 coiled cables, 3 feet in length, that look like telephone handset cords - but they aren't. The connectors are identical to the telephone line cords that attach to the wall jack and the phone. There are 4 wires in the coiled cord, yellow, red, green and black, that match the ones in a standard telephone jack line cord (in the attached side by side cable photo, the gray cable is a standard telephone line and the black is the coiled cable. See attached photos. I've never seen any telephone cords like this. What is the usual application for the coiled cord?

I haven't seen those in other applications other than for a handse though usually one of flat sides is longer... maybe it's for on-the-wall phones? Does it work with the phone line that you posted?
