What is vToolbar Updater 14.2.0 ? Can I delete it?
I am using Windows XP pro (a secondhand bargain) with service pack 3.
My memory is nearly full and I am trying to find things to remove to amke more room.
As you may realize I am pretty much a novice at this.
Can anyone help me?

If you just bought the computer it might have stuff in it from a previous owner. doing a complete reinstall will give you a clean new start. just make sure you have downloaded the correct drivers for it before you begin and put them on a cd so they will be handy.do you mean the memory or hard drive is full? if its running xp on less than 512 mbs it needs to have more ram added if possible.with the reinstall it might make more room on the hard drive depending on the size of it if you just add the programs you really need and want.

Hi, let us have some Pc specifications.
Check and post
TSG System Information Utility - found here.
http://library.techguy.org/wiki/TSG_Valuable_links
------
Download Security Check by screen317
http://screen317.spywareinfoforum.org/
Save it to your Desktop.

A command Prompt window will open.
Let it scan the Pc - press any key when asked.
It should now open in Notepad - and will save a log called checkup.txt.
Post the result of the scan here.

Please go ahead and post the TSG System Info as blues_harp28 suggested. Then we can get a better idea of your system's specs. I also do agree with SUE - I removed AVG a long time ago and installed Microsoft Security Essentials. It's less of a hog.

Download AdwCleaner to your desktop.
Close any browsers that may be open..
Double click the adwcleaner.exe.

Click on Search - once the scan is finished it will open a notepad window.
Post the logfile in the reply box below.
The logfile is saved in C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt.
---
NOTE: If using Internet Explorer and you get an alert that stops the program downloading click on Tools > Smartscreen Filter > Turn off Smartscreen Filter then click on OK in the box that opens. Then click on the link again.
