what is collision LED on HUB

Hello,

I have small network "around 6 computer" with win2k, when i transfer the file from one computer to another computer, the HUB LED for both the computer are flashing and also this collision LED flashing;

What this collision LED indicating.

and i feel that the transfer speed is little bit slow. Kindly suggest the solutions;

Can i change the RJ45 Connectors with Good Quality "Expensive" connectors " as one network Eng. suggest me"

Collision LED is just that... If 2 or more ports have a collision at the same time the LED will light up.

The first thing I would do is if I was using a hub I would change over to a switch instead.

After that if its still slow I would indicate ALOT more information about your network.

And make sure that all of your Network Cards are 100mb. Also make sure you are using Cat5 cable for your network as well.
