Since installing a clean copy of Windows 10 Bluetooth (which was working fine on the previous copy) had now disappeard from Device Manager. I'm told this is due to missing or incorrect driver(s).

As I now cannot see Bluetooth in Device Manager, I cannot determine the make/model of the Bluetooth Adapter to try and find drivers.

The full details of the laptop are: Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-2C5.

Has anybody got a similar model and can check rhe Bluetooth details for me please?

Toshiba's official website should have the drivers you need. Here's how you can go about it:
  1. Visit Toshiba's support page and enter your laptop's serial number. This should lead you to a page with all available drivers for your model.
  2. Look for the Bluetooth driver and download it.
  3. Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions to install the driver.
  4. Restart your laptop and check if Bluetooth is now visible in Device Manager.
I hope this helps!

I seriously doubt you will get functioning bluetooth in that very old laptop.

You mention a clean install, I assume you are on Windows 10, 22H2? That may be the reason why it's not showing anymore, because the hardware is not compatible with this build version of Windows 10.

As you have experienced, the old machines from Toshiba/Dynabook doesn't show any old device drivers so finding a safe download may be tricky. As Plodr mentioned, make sure you scan for any viruses.

It's funny that the link Frank provided did not show any Bluetooth or wireless capability in the specs that I saw... but I did see that it does have .b/g/n and bluetooth.

Do you see any entries under Unknown Devices? If so, can you go into the properties, and then the Details tab, then Hardware ID option and confirm the VEN and DEV items?
