I am relatively new to Paint. I would like to draw arrows - add arrowheads to the straight and curved lines that I draw. How do you do it(not by drawing manually). ?

Did you get FastStone Capture 6.9 or FastStone Capture 5.3?

FastStone Capture 5.3 was the last FREE version.

You can get it here at http://freewareasylum.com/home/archives/50

I love this program that also lets lets you save to pdf.

I only see FastStone Capture 6.9 from your link with " fscapture 5.3 (1 program) " at the top like in your screen shot.
Plus look at your screen shot and it makes me wonder of it has the ask toolbar.
Also many sites link still to the newest version no matter if your at a older version at a site.

OK I came back with firefox in safe mode and hosts file disabled and see the other links now.
The "fscapture 5.3" link takes you to here to "http://www.ask.com/web?q=fscapture+5.3&askid=ab6ee407-e1f0-453d-ae51-8dcf295b0f82-0-us_gse&kv=sdb&gc=0&dqi=&qsrc=999&o=2493&l=dir"

Not a good site to be going to either.

The download link I posted can be trusted and anything from ask I would never trust.
Also looked like what ever was download comes also with a toolbar so that is not good.

Version 6.9 that is Not free is the only link for me in Firefox. Adblock Plus blockes all the other links that are "Sponsored links" and it says that by each one and FastStone Capture 6.9 is the only other so is not version 5.3 so is not a free version and if it has anything else added to it I do not know but I do know it's not the same installer that FastStone has so who knows what may happen.

Too many people click away on installs and install the toolbars and then later come here for help on removing them.

Please do not argue on the boards.

I also don't see the download for 5.3 in Firefox but I believe the ask.com link refers to a download on portablefreeware.com. Ask.com in itself is not considered a malicious site although the undesired toolbar does often get installed along with out applications so users have to beware and opt out of any such offers when downloading.

Hi Cookie,

I downloaded it from the link I sent.
It's not clear where the actual download was from (softonic.com or ask.com).
I always use the Custom , so nothing is downloaded that I don't want.
That's fine for yourself but keep in mind that the users seeking help here are often not aware of the added toolbars and whatnot that frequently get installed along with the programs they are downloading without their knowledge. Most offer an opt out option but it's not always obvious or clear to the user.
Since I use WOT, the green circle is there, which means SAFE.
Not necessarily. That only means it's not known to not be safe. There is no real-time aspect to that so pages can be compromised with embedded malicious code and WOT would not detect it. But that's not what we're talking about here. The Google search results you link to in the last screenshot go to Softonic.com but the one in your first screenshot seems to point to ask.com for the download. As I said before, neither is a malicious site but the Ask toolbar is considered unwanted adware. :)

Thanks cookie,

I would not trust that ask site. Most people will download from the links at the top and each of them have a tool bar.

Also I would never post a link to the site and why the ask link was not clickable. If I knew one of the links were safe then I would of said to stay away from the others and what link to click on. But I would post other links to a site that I know was safer link I did.

No one likes unwanted toolbars and some are worse then others.

There are a lot more then what is listed because just that ask site has many more.

Hewee is absolutely correct. The "Download" button is for the 6.9 version, which is a trial and will eventually nag to buy and it may shut down (didn't keep it long enough to see, just checked the version).

To answer Andy's original question, NO, you can't add arrow heads with MSPaint. Paint is a very limited, basic graphics editor (even though the new version in Win7 is a bit more flexible).
Paint does have arrows in the Shapes dialog and they can be set to have colored borders and the same fill color, but it's really not the same as using markup tools from other programs.
