Restoring folders from the Norton cloud

The hard drive has just been replaced on my Packard Bell PC and though the shop were able to recover a lot of files from the original corrupted drive, quite a few photos were sadly lost. These files were however backed up on the Norton cloud.

I have tried to recover the files to my new hard drive but annoyingly, I can only restore them one at a time.

It will take a lot of time to restore all of the photos in this way, so I was wondering if anyone know a way to restore complete folders from the cloud to my new hard drive?

Find missing files or backup sets when you try to restore from Norton Secure Cloud Storage

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In the My Norton page, in the Cloud Backup tile, click View Backup Sets.
  3. Select the backup set that has the file you want to download.
  4. Navigate to the file you want to download.
If you know the file name, you can use the search functionality to search for the particular file.
Use the Filter option to filter out the pictures and documents.
  5. Move the mouse pointer over the file name and click Download.
I think you are limited to as above
Norton are the people to ask for a definitive answer.

Thanks for the reply.

I was able to restore files one at a time, but I couldn't figure out how to restore the entire Backup Set. More through luck than anything else, I have now managed to restore everything.

Thanks again,

Andy.

Norton has always IMHO been both, unnecessarily invasive with constant pop-ups trying to sell other norton apps, and indeed rather poor on the actual capabilities of some of their software, and the explanations of what can and cannot be done.

However that is only my opinion from helping on this site and others over the last 15 years or so
