[Resolved] saving an icon

I made an icon for my desktop for my weather site that I use a lot and saved it to a zip disk. My problem is it only loads to my desktop if that zip disk is in the drive when I start my puter.

Where do I need to put the file so it will load without having to have the zip disk in?

Maybe I should explain better

save it anywhere on your hard drive

right click the shortcut on your desktop - click properties - click "change icon" - browse to where you saved it and enter the path and it's done

steamwiz. Thanks a lot. I copied it from my zip and pasted it in Program files and it works. Is that a good place or should I put it someplace else?

It's entirely up to you where you put it

Personally I would probably put it in "my documents" or the root C:\ directory

Just remember not to move it once you've choosen it as your icon. If you do you'll have to "change icon" again and point it to the different place it now lives.
