No Sound From Speakers Even After Updating Drivers...

Hello,

I am here because I am finally stumped. I recently built a computer that has a B450M DS3H motherboard and I uploaded Windows 10 onto it. I recently purchased Red Dragon Anvil speakers and was figuring I could just plug them in and have audio. They are powered via usb and have a 3.5mm jack to plug into the computer. Well, after plugging them into the green (line out) port and powering them up, I still have no audio. I have gone to the mobo website and downloaded the most up-to-date Realtek Audio Driver and still nothing. I made sure the video I was watching, as well as the sound control in the bottom right corner of the taskbar, was unmuted and that the speakers were turned up. I have even rolled back the audio driver to see if a previous version would work.

I have tried plugging them into the headphone jack on the front of the computer case with no luck either. When I click on the speaker icon on the right side of the task bar, there are only two options 1. "Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio) and 2. "Realtek Digital Output (Realtek(R) Audio)", but it doesn't matter which one I choose; there is still no audio. If anyone can help me with this, it would be very much appreciated.

I have the Red Dragon Anvil GS520 speakers. The manual is very short and basically says to plug them in and turn them on. There are no additional drivers for the speakers and the videos I've seen online don't show that there are any additional steps.

Do you have a set of regular ie normally powered speakers you can use for a test OR do you have access to a regular speaker set?

One other item. Unless you install the usb charge utility, the usb port is limited to 300mapms or about 1/3 of an amp. With the charge utility installed, this usually goes up to 1 amp.

I've tested a set of headphones (both the back port and the headphone port on the front of the case) and there is still no sound. I don't believe it is a power problem because the speakers have rgb lighting on them that work without any issues. I also feel that I would be getting SOME sound out of them if it was a power issue. What I don't understand is that the audio out port is directly connected to the motherboard, so it should be a driver or software issue. However, after updating the current driver and ensuring that the speakers are chosen as the default audio source, I still get nothing. The attached pictures are of my current settings.

As a quick test of your hardware, boot the system with a linux live usb. Use either Mint or Ubuntu for this task. If it still does not work with the live usb, you know either the audio chip on the board is bad OR you have a problem with the speakers. If it works fine with the live usb, then you know the problem is a driver/windows problem.
