Hello Guys, thank you for reading in advance!
So I have a problem which I have never even heard of.
I Built a new PC and got the :

"New CPU installed. fTPM/PSP NV corrupted or fTPM/PSP NV structure changed.
Press Y to reset fTPM. If you have Bitlocker or encryption enabled, the system will not boot without a recovery key.
Press N to keep previous fTPM record and continue system boot. fTPM will NOT enable in new CPU, you can swap back to the old CPU to recover TPM-related keys and data"

The problem is that it is unresponsive, If I press y absolutely nothing happens if I press N or Del mostly nothing happens, I found some Spanis video where he "solved" the problem by pressing n+del at the same time getting into the bios and disabling "Security Device Support" which I suppose disables TPM. The problem with this fix is I can't install Win 11 of course because it needs tpm.

I tried resetting the CMOS, and installing the newest bios. I reseted the bios too.
Do i have a bad CPU or mobo? I had some trouble just getting to this problem. I had a black screen of death and I'm not sure what fixed it (maybe re-seating the RAM)

Spec: B550M aorus elite rev.3
5800x
2x16 cl 16 3600 ram
750w seasonic g12 power supply
1tb 980 Samsung SSD

I would appreciate your help! Thanks!

1. Are ALL parts new or is the drive from a previous computer

2. I think I am correct in saying that you now know that
I new clue I found is "No Security Device Found" In TPM setting. Im getting more suspicious of my CPU

Does this refer to as in BIOS manual for your board
GIGABYTE AMD AM4 Series BIOS Setup
page 12/13

3. Where are you situated as of course in some locations Y on the keyboard is in fact Z
However I cannot see that this applies if you have not got past the stage of first boot - on the new installation = eg the OS has not been installed

4. BIOS setup - check time and date are correct

Cheers Pleased to have helped
@Macboatmaster You absolute legend!
It was the Y-Z thing.
so having keyed Z (Y) is it now OK and is fTPM on.

When installing 11 ensure you start with a no partitioned drive see point 11 on link below
  • Delete all partitions on the Drive # (ex: Drive 0) you want to install Windows 11 until that Drive # shows only as one Unallocated Space, select the unallocated space, and click/tap on Next.

In case you need it here is the clean install of 11
(8) Clean Install Windows 11 Tutorial | Windows 11 Forum (elevenforum.com)

and then in respect of Y being Z see point 14
select the keyboard layout (ex: "US") you want, and click/tap on Yes. (see screenshot below)

Well now I will need to pay attention the the people's locale... who knew there was a QWERTZ layout where the Z and Y are swapped compared to the standard QWERTY keyboard... the other layout I knew was the AZERTY layout....

(yes, I have not lived in Europe in over 20 years so I guess I have lost touch haha)
