Kensington wireless mouse not working

Hi, I have a Kensington Pocket Mouse Pro Wireless for a laptop. The laptop is a HP ZV5160. I am getting an error when plugging into the laptop. "A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly" If I go to device manager and un-install and scan for new hardware it sometimes will work but it can take many many tries. I called tech support and they said there is a conflict with the touch pad but they offered no solution. This mouse works fine on other laptops. Is there any known reason why this would not work with a HP? Is there any fix that is known. I had a Targus wireless mouse and it worked fine but was not a very good mouse. This is much better when it works. There is no software installed for this.
Thanks for your help!
Jay
