Hello,
i have a monitor which got usb ports in it and there is a port for upstream cable too but i just wanted to know that will the usb ports on the monitor work if i just connect a usb port of cpu to usb port of monitor? I have a DELL 2007WFP monitor..

The USB ports are not for video, if that is what you are asking. They are like a USB hub. Plug a usb cable (USB Type A to USB Type B, like this) from computer to upstream port, then you can plug up to 4 USB peripherals in the downstream ports (2 on back, 2 on side), and they will work with that computer. Note that all of the ports are USB 2.0.

I had a hard time with finding a manual.
This monitor has 4 USB ports and a USB upstream connector. You can connect a USB cable from the upstream port to the computer. This will activate the 4 USB ports on the monitor. You cannot use the ports any other way.

the cable is a standard USB cable and they are a dime a dozen. Someone should have a spare one (I have tons…)

It's the kind of cable that used to be (maybe still is) used to connect a printer via USB to a PC.

Hello,
i have 2007WFP monitor and it got usb ports on it, i connected the uplink cable still there is power in the usb ports but does not transfer data and the uplink cable isnt recognized in device manager it shows the code 43 error, so i read some posts and i think i need to install driver for my monitor for the usb ports to work, i looked around and didnt find any drivers but broken links,Can someone help me get the drivers or any other way of fixing the issue, i changed several uplink cable but still doesnt work........?????

I don't think there are any drivers for that monitor, but I can only find Dell support pages for 2007FP and 2707WFP. There are no drivers for those similar models, which means windows should identify and install whatever is necessary from it's built-in drivers when you plug it in.

What are specs on the computer you are plugging into? Make/model of motherboard or make/model of computer (if it's a brand name, ie dell hp, etc)?

What is OS? Windows 10?

Try it in a different USB port on the computer.

Code 43 often means a hardware problem, here are some tips on how to fix:

but it may not be fixable.
