Hi

I downloaded some software that I uninstalled a few days later but it has branded my Internet explorer. How do I remove this? I know you have to use the registry but I'm not sure where to navigate to.

In your registry, go to.....
HKEY_CURRENT_ USER
software
microsoft
Internet explorer
main
In the right side, look for the window title entry and delete it. It will default back to IE.

Hope this helps.

It's especially seen in systems purchased from manufacturers, where the boot window might contain their logo, and Support info in MY Computer Properties might have their contact info, as well as having the title bar on Internet Explorer (Expecially true of IE provided by ISPs) mention their company name, as in "Internet Explorer provided by *******"

The way I remove this on IE is simple. I do a search for ******* (which is whatever name is displaye don the title bar) in the Registry and in every key that is found, I delete everything I don't want to see.
