How do i find my WAN password?

Hi lads.

its been over a year since i got wireless internet into my house.

recently we have bought 2 new laptops, and these guys have been bugging me for the wireless access password.

thing is, i have no idea what it is. over a year since i wrote it down but god knows where that is now....

i heard that there is a certain i.p adress you can visit if you are connected to the network that will give this to you. does this exist?

Why don't you just reset the router back to it's default settings and configure a new password to use on all the PC's? This really is your only option

If you know the password to your router, try visiting 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1. From there you will be able to view the security that is enabled on your router.

If you know the configuration password for the router, you can enter the router's web based setup and change the wireless password to one that you can remember.

Of course, the exact make and model of the router would be a big help here.

Some routers also require you to enter a username as well.
