Hey, so i need help so badly! I tried moving files from my phone to my computer (phone needed to be replaced). I set it to transfer the files via usb and came back hours later to just my normal desktop. I assumed that it all worked out and everything, but now my computer's disk drive is all messed up. i cant access it (it displays green loading bar at the top and then sticks at last little bit). I cant close it out, says my pc isnt responding. It also affects how long it takes my computer to restart and turn on and stuff. I tried checking the disk drive through cmd terminal but it says i need administrator permissions. So i got to try to click on properties on the disk drive and nothing happens. I havent touched partitions and dont think thats the problem, but i need help plz plz plz. I can use my computer for pretty much everything else besides any programs i saved in the disk drive. I dont have anything super important in the disk drive except a few video games and tons of movies and stuff, but those arent that important. I want to avoid wiping the drive, but at the same time i want to avoid that

OK have you seen that on your screenshot the disk is shown as unformatted
That means that the file system on the drive is damaged so that Windows cannot see it.
On your last screenshot you are issuing a chkdsk cmd on drive C
NOT D
Are you able to stay with me step by step or do you need to sign off for this session
If you are able to stay I will guide you through this step by step
DO YOU WANT THE DATA on the drive if possible OR are we simply going for a format so that you can then see the drive, but it will have NO data

yup, if you wanna switch over to another messenger system lemme know
I would like to see the data - pull any needed uncorrupted data and then just screw the rest (most of the data is just downloaded movies and the office LOL)

Go to device manager
that is either control panel and device manager
OR type it on the desktop in the search bar and when it appears above click to open it
expand disk drives with the drop arrow
IS the drive seen there

IF you want the easy way BUT YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA
Go back to Disk Genius where you posted the screenshot in post 8
and this time select the 931GB drive shown as unformatted on your screenshot and then click FORMAT
IT IS VITAL you select the correct disk OTHERWISE you will lose the data on the main OS drive

SO you can either go the format route
OR you can wait for someone else or until I return but that will not be until 1930hrs UK time
