Graphic Card=Lappy?

Can you put a different graphics card into a laptop? (IBM Thinpad)Or maybe add something on the laptop that can give you better graphics?

Just to let you know, I checked under display adapters and I have a S3 Graphics SuperSavage/IXC 1014

BrianF is right. This is why I don't like laptops. They are built as a whole. you are not to touch it. Unlike a desktop, if you open the case on you laptop, it voids your warrenty.

the video system is integrated in to the motherboard. there are no PCI or AGP slots to add additional boards.

I like laptops cuz I can bring them around or put them wherever I want to put it. But yeah, its cool.

I agree with you laptops have the advantage of portability. But I like to be able to update the hardware. I have my daughters old laptop when I need it.
