Both laptops with Windows XP have suddenly changed Free Cell so that it will not go full screen. By changing the resolution I can get it to 2/3rds. I have tried system restore a few times but still it will not go to full screen. The newest computer has Windows XP professional . I have Windows xp home edition cd. I have tried the sfc and that didn't work.

Does your FreeCell not have a "maximise" button at top-right? (mine does, I just checked. It doesn't start full-screen but all I have to do is click the "maximise" button.)

Or try this:

Right-click FreeCell shortcut and choose "Properties".
Under the "Shortcut" tab, against "Run", click the drop-down arrow and choose "Maximised".
Now click 'OK'
