Hello!

I've recently purchased a Sony PS-LX310BT record player/turntable and some pioneer DM-40 speakers and I can't seem to get them to work! Both devices are showing signs of being turned on, but the sound won't channel through.... I need help!

Hello and welcome to TSG!!

If it is strictly a turntable, with no integrated electronics, it will not power a set of speakers directly. The signal from the stylus is not sufficient to drive them. You will need a phono amplifier. This device will amplify the signal and also apply some equalization.

Yep....you need a inexpensive receiver that has functions for a turn table, cd player, radio.....then connect your turn table to the receiver then connect your speakers to the receiver.

Since this unit has built in BlueTooth....try using that to connect to your phone, laptop or PC that has bluetooth enabled and see if that works.

Per the listing on Amazon, Built in switchable phono output / line out phono preamp and 3 gain settings. You'll need to enable the phono preamp.

Edit: I see Allan beat me to it ...
