On my android phone I have a bunch of compresses files taking up space. Way more space than anything else. I've tried using a cache cleaner, and have cleared things I no longer need/use but the compressed file section still comes up the same. What could this be and how do I clear it?!

Rather than worry about almost 45 MB of compressed files, you should be removing
25 GB of videos, and 76.75 GB of "other files". 45 Mb is not way more than anything with over a GB listed.
25 GB is the same as 25,000 MB and 76.75 GB is the same as 76,750 MB.

Get a micro sd card and insert that. Here's how
The maximum size for an s10+ is 512 GB. Install one(it doesn't have to be 512GB) and you can move the video, images and audio files to the micro sd card. You have then created over 105 GB of free space on the 128GB storage that came with the phone.

I own two Samsung phones. On both I've inserted a micro sd card to store pictures and music. (I don't have videos stored.)

Thank you so much! I will do this. My pictures and videos are of my kids so I didn't want to lose those and while I've been backing them up to the cloud, I'm still worried about deleting them. I also was told that s10 didn't have an SD card slot from the lady at Verizon when I got my phone. I thought it was weird but clearly should have questioned that. Thanks so much for your help!

Have you checked the top of the phone to be sure there is a slot and it has a pinhole to open the tray?
If it does and you can't find the tool to open the tray, you can try either a thin paperclip straightened out or the post from a pierced earring to open the tray. I've used both. Two of my devices have trays and I lost one of the opening tools. (Fortunately I was careful to put the new tool I got in an old medicine bottle so I won't misplace it.)
