Thank you,

I already had tried disk clean up but could only delete a few MBs.

Also had already manually deleted some TEMP files but, where do I find the win installation Temp files, win Log files, which win defender ones ? etc.

I am scared in case I delete things that will kill my Notebook.

Do I delete all in the Disk clean up "More Options" or the system restore / shadow files?

I only upgradet w8.1 to w10.

This Notebook has a physical HD like my desktop?

I found this below very complicated & confusing:- ( BTW what is SxS?.)

Thanx,

found it but, unfortunately like the straight Disk clean up it only cleaned 30-40 mbs.

I found a lot of files in the Download & the Desktop directories & moved them, in a corresponding directory I made, in a stick.

that cleared sufficient space for the LibreOffice to install.

Strangely though , the desktop directory in win explorer disappeared but, the all files are still showing on the desktop itsel???.

Thank you very much for your help. .........nick
