Welcome to the forum. Can you e-mail me a copy of your database so I can take a look at what you have done so far? You can click on my name view my public profile and click on the option to e-mail me.

im sorry but as im working for the organisation and that there lot of personal details with the database i will not be able to email you this.. sorry all i require is that the field name when you first create the database if once the database is created and records are added can you then change the layout of these field names..

an example of what i mean is you have first name = text and then surname = text what you wanted the surname to go first and the firstname to go seocund.. you can change this in the table view but it dont save and keeps going back to the origanl design view way?

Make a copy of the database and clean out the data. I do not need data in the database I just need to see the shell. You can manually move the fields around in both the table and also in the form. How are you changing the order of the fields? I usually use cut and paste or typically drag and drop to move them around. There is a gray box beside the field name called a field selector which you can drag up and down as necessary.
