I have done everything that the iomega people tell me, but still the zip drive does not finish installation without locking up the computer. I have closed all programs and that still did not work(using alt, cntrl, delete). I am at a loss right now.

Sounds like something else is using the same IRQ as the USB port...

Go to start, run, then type msinfo32 and hit ok....

Go to hardware, IRQs, edit, select all, edit, copy and come back and paste.
