I have just set up for a friend (albeit temp) Outlook 2003 to receive all her yahoo mail while she is staying with us for a few weeks.
All is working fine except when she needs to access Yahoo away from our home pc. When she logs in to Yahoo mail all her saved mail in the inbox are missing and now shows no messages at all.
When setting up Outlook 2003 it appears to have imported all of her inbox.
Question is: How can I restore her inbox in Yahoo? Can I export Outlook mail to Yahoo or is there an easier way?
I may loose a good friend over this. Help plssss.

First thing would be stop Outlook from removing any new messages on the Yahoo server.

- Open the account settings for editing on Outlook 2003.
- Click the "More Settings..." button to open new options screen
- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- Under "Delivery", make sure to put a check in the "Leave a copy of the messages on the server box".

As far as I know, there is no way to put the e-mail messages in the local folders on your hard drive back on the Yahoo server in their original state.

One option might be to forward all of the messages back to your friend's Yahoo address. The problems would be that all of the messages no longer be listed as coming from the original sender and no longer be listed by the original date they were received. You would also get all of those forwarded messages back into Outlook when it checked for new messages.
