If you do a Google search you'll come up with a bunch of links for doing the upgrade. This one is fairly complete

Does your computer have at least a 700 - 800 MHz processor speed and at least 256 MB of RAM installed?
You might consider going to http://www.pcpitstop.com and running the XP Readiness Test, which takes just a couple of minutes. The link is in the upper left corner under "Test My PC".
