Hey, i had probems with my XP recently, it wouldn't login on any of the accounts... it would just go in and immediately log out. Crazy... so I reinstalled XP over the old one on the same partition. Now I'm having problems with windows update: the download starts but then after several seconds it jumps to a page that says that installation failed. It began to do that right after I downloaded the service pack 1.
Also, there must be some kind of registry problem because when I was reinstallin XP it I had to skip ove two .dll files since the CD couldn't find them... I tried to launch Defragmentation but I got an error message : "Microsoft Managment Console failed to initialize... Make sure that file Mmcndmgr.dll is registered..." I have no clue what to do. Help, please?
