Is there a difference between Windows XP Standard and Windows XP Home? Is XP Home an upgrade from XP Standard?

As far as Im aware XP Standard is just something to do with Microsoft Office ......

There is no XP Standard. There is only Home, Pro, Tablet PC, and PE (Pre-installation Environment). There is an Office XP Standard. There is no Office XP Home.
