when I log in it takes about 2 minutes to get to me desktop, ive cleaned up start programs an still is slow, is there a test i can use? Any help is appreciated, cheers

hmm...you seem to be having the same prob as me and my girlfriend as well as my fathers computer. could this be a possible XP bug?

there is a MS application called BOOTVIS which will run and monitor a system startup and graphically represent driver and tsr load times. this might help you out.
