hi every one and a happy new year,
when using micro softs (eastfile transfer)by default it does not incude "program files" when transfering is there a reason for this?
having two hd on my system one is solely for photos music ect is it ok to transfer to this hd,many thanks for reading

Transfering programs can be problematic.
There are compatability problems with older programs.
There are also registry entries and program files in many
different locations that can be a problem to transfer.
It is usually better to do a new install of programs.

Being as the drive you want to transfer is photos,music
and other data and not programs,you should have no problem
connecting it to the new computer as long as it has the require connections.
Make sure you power down and disconnect the AC power on the computers
before transfering the drive.
