I am trying to install XP on my CTX EZBOOK 800 Series Laptop. I have both XP Home & Pro versions. After the XP setup formats the hard drive to the NFTS file system, I receive an error message on the next screen that looks like this:

Windows XP Home Edition Setup
__________________________

The following value in the .SIF file used by Setup is corrupted or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section [SourceDisksFiles] with key "SP1.cab."

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3.

Any thoughts and solutions on this error message.

Your input is much appreciated. Thanx in advance. :)

You are using a boot disk that references SP1 cabinet files but the files cant be found. This is usually caused by an incorrectly slipstreamed service pack or a non-bootable CD-ROM. Try downloading the XP SP1 Boot Floppies from Microsoft from this link. There are 6 disks.

These have the correct TXTSETUP.SIF file for your install CD.
