My Trend Micro detected this virus - WORM_VB.BXS - but failed to quarantine it, and it had been affecting all my ext hdd drives. Advice is to remove the file manually, but according to the removal site from trend micro, there is lots of registry editing which I'm not confident of doing.
Is there other tools to remove this worm without going into the registry.

Description of this worm:
This worm drops copies of itself in all physical drives and removable drives using the file name BOOT.EXE. It also drops an AUTORUN.INF file to automatically execute dropped copies when the drives are accessed.

Moreover, it may be dropped or downloaded from a remote site by other malware, or may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites.

Upon execution, it drops copies of itself in the Windows folder and in a certain folder located in the root folder (usually C:\).

It creates particular registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup. The said entries also execute this worm everytime the user tries to execute Windows task manager. In addition, the said routine prevents the real task manager to execute, preventing the user to terminate this worm from task manager.

Thanks in advance for any help.
