My MS Word keeps not being able to "see" the printer (HP Photosmart C5280). The program actually hangs up simply when trying to Open many documents.
The actual error message is as follows:
"The printer has not yet responded, but the Microsoft Office program may be able to proceed without printer information. Do you want to continue to wait for the printer?"
Whether Yes or No is clicked, the program just hangs up and needs to be killed through the task manager.
All other applications (email, excel, etc) print just fine. It is JUST Microsoft Word that is causing this problem.
I thought I'd try using the Add/Remove Programs method to Repair the install...however, I can't find my MS Office 2003 Professional cd. I actually didn't even think I had the Pro version (as I have located a Office 2003 Student/Teacher Edition cd) so therein lies my problem.
I believe I just need to find someplace that I can download the PRO11N.MSI file that the repair thing is looking for. Only problem is that I can't find it anywhere.
If anyone knows of where I can get it, let me know. If anyone knows what the problem might be or how to diagnose it without the cd, let me know.
