First, I'd like to thank those of you who helped me out the last few weeks. Both of my pc's are optimal, fast and efficient for thier intended purposes.
The only snag I've encountered is a WJViewer error during loading of startup programs and I can't find the one causing the problem.
Any possible clues?
Thanx!

Well, I installed the app, but it did not locate the problematic startup program. However, I uninstalled the Windows Journal Viewer altogether and the problem is now gone. I can reinstall it another if I need it. I think the problem was a bad XP Plus! install.
Anyways, thanks alot, I appreciate it.

Just out of curiosity....is there a limit on how long a startup sound can be?

OK. So it was wjviewer, as you said. I thought it was wjview, a totally different thing.

No limit that I know of on startup sounds. I have converted mp3's to wav sounds just so that I could use them for startups and have used 40 meg files without problems.

Other things loading can cause skips and it may be hard to track down what causes the problem.
