Hi guys

have some problem to connect to a wireless network,
the machine: Acer aspire (laptop)
OS: XP SP3

when click on the icon at the task bar shwoing me it's connected, but receiving signals are so low and sent points about 70 - 90,
is there any problem with the machine? or with the internet service provider?

does it improve if you get closer to the router
is it your wireless connection you are trying to connect to or is it a "public" one?

at home is working with my wireless network, just yesterday tried to log in at the airport, then trying again today at another place, so wondering why can't log in to any webpage while seeing the status is logged in (excellent connection)
does this signify to any technical issue?

maybe your firewall blocking access or some other settings
Whats the firewall you have or ever had on the PC - Norton, McAfee etc ?

When at home connected to your wireless would you post the following
------------------------------------------------------------------------
{ipconfig /all}
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post results here
We would like to see the results from ipconfig /all post back the results here
-> Start
-> (XP - enter the following in the RUN box)
cmd /k ipconfig /all
-> (Vista or Windows 7 - enter the following in the Search box)
cmd /k ipconfig /all

A black box will appear on the screen -
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy

then reply here and
control key + V to paste
------------------------------------------------------------------------
