I am using comcast high speed. When i use the winipcfg command in windows it shows my host name as being MY COMPUTER.aoldsl.net when I am not even using aol DSL, therefore it is giving me the wrong DNS server ip addresses below that. My Xbox Live is not working because it is not finding the correct DNS server ip addresses. How do I reset my computer to recognize the correct hostname. All of my friends who use comcast have comcast.net in thier host name. Why is this doing this, how can i fix it and why does my internet still work even though it has the wrong host name on there? I'm sure their more equiped to answer this,mine did.But can't be used with your problem.
