Have a Compaq computer with windows XP on it. When the pc is on, a porn ad is keep pop up on the computer. And the computer is not connect to the internet. How can I get this ad from pop up on the pc, with format the hard drive.

For a start download & run both Adaware and Spybot.

Try turning off the messenger service

Start / Run / services.msc

Scroll down and double click on Messenger
Stop and Disable the Service

You might also download a good Spyware and Trojan Removal program.
