when i turn on my pc it boots up normaly ok but in dos i see this ok this message shows/// primarry ide chanelle no 80 conductor cable installed // do you think this is why it s crashing to blue screen ok thats whats happening ok ... when i turn on my pc it boots up and all that but it shows the message then goes to windows xp then fast blue screen it does it so fast that i cant even read the blue screen mesage..

Have you done anything to the PC before this happened.
when did this start -
it could be a slave, master issue on the HD, it could a cable fault.
you may want to try making sure the cable is correctly connected and not mis-seated. or bios or HD.

so what should i do the drive is on the way its suppose to be on now thow tell me something should this be like this ok now you know where the kumpers on the board are the on to clear cmos well ok 1&2 is for normal 2&3 is to clear right after you clear cmos yore suppose to put it back to 1&2 right well when i put the jumpers back there the pc wont even start but when i put it on 2&3 it starts now you tell me is that suppose to be like that ,, let me know what you think get back to on this *** soon as you can ill be waiting thank you

need more info - PC Make/Model - Motherboard, Harddrive Make and size.

check your eide cable has a blue connector to the m/b
blue signifies 80 connector,if you only have a 40 you will have problems

well i got rid of that pc anyways i need help on finding out the name of this board ok this is all that is has is just numbers ok it says american megatrends and at the bottom left hand coener these numbewrs are there ok here they are 62-0808-001131-00101111-071595-SIS730S-M810LR-H ok thats all this board has ok i know its an amd board but thats about it..see im trying to ghet the board
up and going but it just wont i dont know if the cables that come from the case to the board are set up right and its that so if anyone can give me some info on setting up the cables to the board this is my second post on this subject so if anyone can help me out on this and im trying to get the board to boot to floppy but it wont,,,,help
