windows start as minimized

My windows in IE6 are starting as minimised and i can't get them to start as maximised. Any ideas?

Whenever it opens minimized, grab the sides of the window and drag it to fill the screen. Do not use the maximize button. Some suggest that you need to close out the main window first but I have never found that to be necessary.

Still returns to minimised after dragging it and also when you put the mouse arrow on the top blue bar of the window it can be moved.( ie , it's still in minimised)

It will be minimized. The maximize setting is temporary so that is why you drag a minimized one open to fill the screen. If it doesnt want to do it, check out this thread.
