I decided it would be profitable to compress my WAV for background music into a WMA, somthing I was thinking of doing originally. I've added code that embeds the Windows Media Player no matter which browser you're using. The only problem is that for some reason, I can't get the file to play, even though it plays perfectly fine locally. Here's how the error message looks like when you right click on it.

Invalid name: http://www.geocities.com/eurisko97/WTC/Sounds/Movmt3.wma. The file name specified is incorrect. (Error=80004005)

Windows Media Player cannot open. You may need to reboot to complete installation of a downloaded component. Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (Error=80004005)

Can you please help me on this? I'm really quite annoyed on this constant failure to add sound to my website. I'm 100% sure the filename is correct. Please help me. The URL of the site in question is http://www.geocities.com/eurisko97/WTC/ACT1/Scene1-Fire_Station/Frames/Navigation.htm.

A prompt and helpful answer would be much appreciated. I want this site up by the end of next week.

I'm not sure but I think its telling you that Windows Media Player can not download the music you have embedded as its the wrong format. You have to have put a .wav on the geocities pages. Is WMPlayer set up to receive .wav
When you go to others pages do you hear their music?
Go back to the Editors File Manager & see for sure if the name & extention is correct in the embed.

Savvy :)
