I tried to download a new program off the Internet, but an error occurred. The message states, "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." The program was for an iPod to play and hear music through the computer. I noticed you still have Windows 98 installed on your computer. Also, it's possible the software you downloaded is not compatible with your operating system. I suggest you to have a look to the manufacturer website in order to check the requirements needed by the software.

If you have never upgraded windows installer on your win98 machine, then you might not have the latest version. The following is the latest version that I can find for Windows 98.
