Hi,
I have a Windows 7 enterprise edition service pack 1
i am unable to turn on my [COLOR=blue !important]windows firewall[/COLOR], i go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Windows Firewall, then i click on Use Recommended Settings button, and the below error message apprears once i do that
"Windows [COLOR=blue !important]Firewall[/COLOR] can't change some of your settings. Error Code 0x8007042c
After that, i went to Services.msc scrolled down to Windows Firewall item and i tried to start it as this service is not started, once i try to right click > Start, i get the below error message
"Windows could not start the windows firewall service on local computer
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start"
No one is able to resolve this issue as it needs deep technical understanding of the firewall dependecy and all else, i am an Administrator on this machine.
I prefer to have the replies come from people who really understand the steps that can be takent o analyze and trouble shoot this issue.
