I have a new build PC. Rog Strix B650E MB, AMD Ryzen 5 7600X chip, 64GB (2x32) Corsair Vengence PCIe5 6000 Memory Windows 11 on a M2 ssd (from my old computer) Zoton 4070 TI Super 16gb Graphics card. Everything seems ok on bootup and windows operates normally. Although my ethernet cable is connected there is no network recognised. Using Windows network troubleshooter I get the message windows cant run the network diagnostic test. I dont know what to do to resolve the matter.

Windows 11 on a M2 ssd
You are better off to do a fresh install of Windows 11 using the media creation tool.
You also need to go to the Rog Strix B650E site and download all the drivers to a usb stick/ssd.
It can be the same one that you use for the creation tool, but you will have to load them onto the usb after
creating the Windows 11 install.
By using a windows install from another computer you have unneeded drivers.
Is this your MB?

The drivers need to be installed in correct order.

As an aside.
Once you get everything up and running, I suggest you do not attempt to overclock your system.
The memory you have is not suitable for your cpu.
Trying to overclock will just cause you trouble.

Peter OZ thank you very much for your reply. Mw power supply is a very adequate Corsair RM850X which is in full working order. I have slowly been coming to the conclusion that this is a windows problem and that somehow in the motherboard/hard drive transfer I have lost the Lan Intel I225/I226 LAN Driver if I could download those drivers on my laptop to a usb maybe that would resolve my problem. A new M2 NVME drive and fresh windows may well solve the problem but if a new Lan driver can sort it that's the way I would wish to go. I am also wondering about memory compatibility? I have tried to use the AS EZ Flashback utility to update the BIOS but my motherboard does not accept the update. I have been meticulous in the download to a newly formatted Fat 32 usb. Extacted and renamed the CAP file but it never works. Thanks for your time my friend,

You do not need a new M2 NVME drive.
You can use the current one and delete all data and start new.
You can remove all data you need first E.G Docs pics videos etc.
Just not most programs.

The BIOS has nothing to do with the memory in this case. Your memory does not suit the CPU.
Lan Intel I225/I226 LAN Driver
In Post No.2 Click on the link Motherboard for the driver

Also your chipset drivers ectara ectara will not be correct if you are using an install from another system
You will have to install drivers from the link in post # 2

This is quite clearly a windows issue
No, I don't think you have a windows issue.
Only a missing driver.
As a first step I would download and run the Lan Intel I225/I226.
If you still do not get a connection, then we need to look deeper.
Here is the link again. The intel driver is the first in the list.

Does the computer even see the network card? If so, then find out if it gives you an IP (even 169.254.x.y). If it does, try a different Ethernet cable.

A side note, if you have a wireless USB WiFi dongle (if you don't get one for these reasons :D) you can use that to connect and get the drivers.

Thank you to all watchers and contributors. I have installed an nvme 2tb m2. updated to acceptable ram and installed a new version of windows 11. The entire system failed to black screen 10 minutes after windows install. Iv had enough of this motherboard and Asus. Ordered new Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite X AX ICE. I wish to close this enquiry now. I cant close it as resolved because it isnt but we all have to move on. Thanks again my friends.

Thank you once again Peter a very interesting article and one O have saved for future reference. Sadly I cannot use it in this instance my system was stripped into its component parts before you wrote the post. The MB will probably go on Ebay listed parts only. Thank you once more.

May I suggest that you go here
Download the Chipset drivers + the other drivers to a usb and have them ready to install BEFORE you connect to the internet.
