You'll have to do the following:
1) Rename your existing "command.com file. (eg. rename command.com to command.bak)
2) At the DOS prompt type... attrib msdos.sys -r -h -s -a
3) At the DOS prompt type attrib io.sys -r -h -s -a
4) now rename BOTH the msdos.sys AND the io.sys files to msdos.bak and io.bak
5) Now reboot with a Win98 boot floppy that has your (or generic) CDROM drivers on it.
6) Once it boots up to the A: prompt, change to whatever drive letter your CDROM is.
7) Type "setup"

Hiya

I'm not good with the DOS stuff, but for renaming, just locate the command.com using Find Files, rightclick onit and choose Rename.

If your Windows Explorer is set up so that it dosen't show you the extensions, of which this is the bit you need to change, go to Tools | Options. View tab. Uncheck Hide file extensions for known file types.

Regards
