I have a computer with Windows 2000 Professional on it, I have tried many different virus scans, hoping to get rid of a virus. I have used spybot and other spyware removal utilities. However, I have had no success at all. Can someone please let me know if they have experienced this issue and what did they do to fix it?

Do you have all the updates from Microsoft??

Download Hijackthis.
Create a folder on your hard drive and save it there.
Unzip the file and extract it to the folder you have created.
Scan your machine, then click on Save Log.

Post a copy back here and someone will be happy to review it.

Don't make any changes until instructed to do so.
