FWIW onedrive (along with cortana, and turning OFF as much info sharing as possible) are the very first things I do when setting up a system. The ONLY backup I trust is the one I have physical possession of said backup. While it is OK to have an extra backup on the cloud, it should NOT be a primary backup. A second internal drive, an external drive, or a NAS would be a MUCH better option than onedrive.
One last piece of advice; no backup is worth anything until you validate your ability to restore the backup.
