I posted a problem in the other software section but I am beginning to wonder if this isnt a problem with windows instead of actually aol.
I have Windows XP and use AOL 9.0 regularly. The other day my AOL would no longer connect after I went to a place online and paid money to have free downloads of different programs.
One of the dowload sites is mp3download hq.com
I have called AOL and my ISP several times and neither have been able to fix my problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled aol several times and still cannot connect.
It just will not connect. AOL has gone through all of my TCP/IP setting with me for BYOA and they pointed me to my cable provider who then turned me back to aol.
I need help. I would like to get my computer back the way it was.
I have also done system restore but this has not corrected the problem.
I have also reinstalled windows to try to correct this.
When aol begins I get an error that has this message across the top.
!!QTinitAsyncMasterWindow!!: waol.exe - bad image
this is what is in the middle of the error box.
The application of DLL C:WINDOWS\System32\QuickTime.qts is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
