The following entries have been deleted from my registry:

HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Con
trol\File System\CDFS

Windows shows the cd drives as working properly but the drives won't recognize any discs.

I don't have a backup of my registry and the system restore is unable to restore to any of my save points.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue? I can't access my Win XP Install Disc to restore the registry. I tried an external cd drive and it's doing the same thing. I could manually enter the registry information if I knew what it needed to be.

Well, looking at mine, I don't even have that entry

It's on three of my systems.

Here is the entry from one:
