WIN XP PRO install problem

I bought a Hewlett-Packard a1620n computer with a dual core 3.0 gigahertz CPU with one gigabyte worth of RAM. I then bought a new 300 Gigabyte Seagate SATA HDD and a new Windows XP Professional installation disc. I installed the HDD and inserted the XP disc and got the usual loading text and then the download stopped to tell me to make a selection. I also received the following text: "Unknown Disc" "There is no disc in this drive" It was stated four times. Then it told me to make a selection and then hit "ENTER". Since I could not make a selection, I hit ENTER and received a blue screen with the following information: "SETUPDD.SYS". "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA" And of course there was the typical series of zeroes and letters. I have played with the memory modules all to no avail. Can anyone tell me what to do? I do not have a floppy drive should anyone tell me that I have to download drivers to a floppy in order to complete the Windows XP Professional installation. Thanks.
