I want to know anyone facing this problem before? My home computer and company computer are having the same problem, which is putting a CD into the CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or CDRW, the XP cannot read the CD. Ask you put the CD into the device. However, the CD already there. Then, I perform log off user, then re-logon again. The device can read the CD with no problem. This happens on all CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or CDRW. As I remembered, this problem happens after I updated the Windows patches. I am not able to find out which updates causing the problem. Can anyone give me some hints? Thank you!!
